oh yeah

I forgot to mention that the gallery site is down for a time... :-( we had some sort of system crash on Matt's NetBSD server box... hopefully I'm saying all that right... I think having such a computer genius for a husband has made me pretty lax on keeping up with things, I am probably the most computer illiterate person I know. It is terrible of me, but so much easier to just let him take care of all our computer needs! So anyway the link to the right is dead but will eventually come back bigger and better than ever. He says it is 8 hours worth of work away from being functional. So yeah. There will be some pictures there again in a couple of months probably. (That's how long it takes him to find that kind of time since I am definitely not cut out to single parent and the three of us pretty much demand a lot of his time when he is home!)

Father's Day

Here is a conversation I had with Ian today, which I wrote in script form inside Matt's father's day card.

Me: How do you feel about daddy Ian?
Ian: I feel about love.
Me: What is your favorite thing to do with daddy?
Ian: I like to hug him!
Me: What do you like best about daddy?
Ian: I like his belly.
Me: What do you want to tell daddy on Father's day?
Ian: I want to give him a present!

Other tidbits:

Matt was explaining on the way home from a baseball game with Ian that God makes the sunset look pretty in the sky. They were passing a construction site at the time (one of Ian's very favorite things) and Ian says, "yes daddy, God painted the sky right above the diggers in the mud." This really made me laugh because it is truly his version of a perfect scene: pretty sunset, outside, diggers, and dirt.

Caleb started crawling this past week, and with a little crying has been making it through the night (8p.m. to 6 a.m. or so) without my help most nights since our vacation ended. He also figured out how to finally say "ba ba ba" while on the vacation car ride... then laughed at himself every time. In the 4 days since then he's occasionally said "ma ma" :-) and continually is saying "da da da" and "daddy daddy". Matt swears he said "yes it is" yesterday while I was gone for the day bridal gown shopping with Aunt Bekah. Sure Matt... With these new little statements we are getting to hear the tone of what his voice will sound like and that is so precious.
