PLEASE mom, don't sing

Last week was crazy busy including a three-day long heat pump/furnace/AC install... yesterday we had two family gatherings in a row for Easter. It was so nice to see everyone despite snow falling on Easter Sunday. Since the "fam" left last night it's been time to decompress and vegetate as much as possible! We left the kitchen a mess and watched the Sound of Music in our bathrobes last night. Very nice.

Just now I was sitting at the table with the boys for snacktime, and humming (the hills are alive...) absentmindedly. After a few minutes Ian says, "Mommy, you're better with your clarinet. Would you go get your clarinet please?"

Which would you prefer? Off key humming, or hasn't-practiced-in-about-10-years squawking and screeching??

Yipes. I'd better get him in the Little Lambs choir at church if there's to be any musical hope for this kid.

The scary part: I remember my mom humming and singing these EXACT SAME songs when I was little and it drove me absolutely NUTS. :-) History repeats itself. Aaaaaack!!!

Love you mom.
